To say that the Oiler's season has been disappointing is an understatement. At the time of this article, Edmonton sits at 5-11-1 which puts them 30th in the league. This record is especially surprising considering many called the Oilers cup favourites before the season began. Things continued to get worse Tuesday night against Carolina as multiple clips that show McDavids frustration went viral on Twitter.

Is McDavid headed out of Edmonton?

McDavid's season so far has been disappointing from an individual standpoint, especially when compared to the monster seasons he has had in years past. The Oilers have also faced a number of challenges this year, the sudden firing of Coach Jay Woodcroft and the demotion of Jack Campbell to the AHL being the most glaring.

Many fans online speculate that McDavid wants out of Edmonton, and the rumours about potential trades have started to circulate. Nothing material yet, but the conversations are beginning to get louder. It seems crazy to even consider a trade happening involving McDavid, but crazier things have happened in the hockey world. One thing we do know is that the frustration of two of the best players on the planet is becoming very apparent as things continue to go wrong in Edmonton.
