BREAKING: Arizona Coyotes Set to Officially Relocate to an Unexpected Destination
In breaking news, in has been revealed that the Arizona Coyotes are in the process of relocating, but not to where many people expected.
Coyotes to Relocate to New Arena in Pheonix As they Finalize Purchase of Land
According to NHL insider Darren Dreger, the Arizona Coyotes are in the process of finalizing the purchase of a parcel of land in Phoenix for the purposes of building a new NHL arena. This is a strong indication that they will not be relocated out of Arizona, and instead will move from ASU's campus in Tempe to Phoenix.
Not sure commissioner Bettman or the Arizona Coyotes will expand on this today. As mentioned last night on @TSNHockey, the Coyotes are finalizing the purchase of a piece of land in Phoenix for an arena build. They're hoping to announce project plans next month.
If the deal is done, it will mark a significant step in the Coyotes' future within Arizona. However, the Coyotes have previously fallen short of building a new Arena, even after having plans and a location submitted to the City.
Time will tell whether or not the Coyotes can follow through with their intention to build a new rink.
