Unsigned Anaheim Star Seen Practicing in Toronto
The situation in Anaheim isn't ideal at all. Yes, they managed to acquire some players over the summer, but their big guns, Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale, remain unsigned ahead of the next season.
Being in Patrick Verbeek's shoes, I'd sign them immediately. I'd give them whatever money they ask for. They're the future of the franchise. If they leave, the Ducks would be in a tough spot. Fans don't want to wait another five years to win, just when things were starting to look up.
A new development worries fans.
Drysdale Spotted Training in Canada
Jamie Drysdale was spotted at Toronto Metropolitan University Men's Hockey Team's practice facilities.
This doesn't mean that a deal won't happen. Restricted Free Agents often do this when training camps start to exert pressure on the organization.
Missing parts of the training camp is usually tough on players, as they need to catch up with the rest of the group.
So, even if he signs soon, the damage has already been done. This is poor management by the Ducks' GM, who failed to do the most important thing he needed to this summer.
