Former Leaf absolutely dummies Bruins Forward in Third Period fight
Hockey is finally back, and we got the first fight of the preseason!
Preseason games are always intense, even if not every star takes part in them. Players compete for a spot in the lineup and they want to prove they can play in the NHL.
Ben Harpur, who had a short stint in Toronto back in 2019-20, is now with the Rangers and he dropped the gloves with Boston's AJ Greer.
Former Leaf Harpur Destroys Greer in Heavyweight Fight
Late in the third period, both players dropped the gloves for 15 seconds of glory.
Greer, 6'3, 210 lbs, was no match against Harpur, 6'6, 230 lbs, who used his advantage in this heavyweight tilt.
Here's the video:
Both were trying to show their coaches that they deserve a place in the lineup, and they failed to get their names on the scoresheet.
But no offensive production doesn't mean you can't be useful for a team: physicality can also interest teams that are looking for tough players who aren't afraid to step up when needed.
Do you think Harpur will make the Rangers' lineup?
