New reporting reveals the likelihood of Sidney Crosby's Olympic availability for tomorrow.

Sidney Crosby appears unlikely to play tomorrow match for the Canadians following an MRI for a lower-body injury suffered in Canada's 4-3 win over Czechia.
Crosby left in the second period in the Czechia game after colliding with Czech defenseman Radko Gudas, and did not return with his status for the rest of the tournament up in the air.
A new report from TSN's Ryan Rishaug says that Crosby is unlikely to play in Canada's semifinals match Friday against Finland.
Crosby, who did not skate today in an optional practice, is expected to take a skate tomorrow to determine his available for the Finnish game. Crosby was not ruled out officially by Canadian head coach Jon Cooper.
If Crosby is unavailable to play, Nick Suzuki, who scored Canada's tiebreak goal against Czechia, will move up onto the Canadian third line in Crosby's place.

Crosby with slim chance of playing vs Finland, decision yet to be decided

No final decision appears to have been handed down on whether Sidney Crosby will play for Canada against Finland, and in the final game against either the United States or Slovakia.
Crosby, who won gold for the Canadians and 2010 and 2014, is one of two players from those gold medal winning teams along with defenseman Drew Doughty.
If Crosby is unavailable for the next two games, someone else would have to inherit the captaincy in his place, according to IIHF rules.
The likeliest option would be assistant captain Connor McDavid, with Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon other options for the Canadians leading man in the potential loss of their captain.
Crosby has two goals and six points in six games played at the 2026 Olympics in Milan.
