Team Canada captain Sidney Crosby has left the quarterfinal game vs. Czechia after a collision that left him in serious pain on the bench.

During the Team Canada/Team Czechia game, Canadian captain Sidney Crosby got tangled up with Czechia's Radko Gudas and fell awkwardly, first struggling to the bench then eventually leaving to the locker room:
It's a horrible loss for Canada especially given they were already down 2-1 to Czechia and the absence of their captain is sure to shake the rest of the team.
Nathan MacKinnon has since tied the game on the power-play, and there is no word yet on the extent of Crosby's injury.
Canada and Czechia are tied 2-2 in the 2nd period.
For the Canadian side, losing Crosby is a massive blow to their gold medal chances, and although the team was able to come back and win 4-3 in OT, there is concerns going forward.
Crosby was one of Canada's top offensive players, arguably their locker room leader, and someone who is the heart and soul of Canadian hockey. To see him potentially out for the rest of the Olympics is awful news, especially if it might be his last.
If Crosby were to miss the rest of the Olympics, as long as Canada medals he will still be able to take home something, and with a strong semifinal game -- Canada's worst finish will be silver.
