Tonight the New Jersey Devils and Colorado Avalanche have completed a trade. The trade sends a veteran to the New Jersey Devils for a pair of assets.

Devils Complete A Trade With The Avalanche



An announcement from the New Jersey Devils has confirmed that they have completed a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. In the trade the Devils have acquired Kurtis MacDermid for a 7th round pick and Zakhar Bardakov.

We have acquired F Kurtis MacDermid via trade with the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and forward Zakhar Bardakov.


MacDermid who began his career as a defenseman is listed as a forward by the New Jersey Devils. If he does play forward he will add size and physicality to the skilled group. The Avalanche picked up a late-round pick and a 23-year-old prospect for a player who was playing in the bottom half of their lineup.

As the deadline draws near it will be fun to see all the trades that get completed both big and small.
