The Boston Bruins are looking to make a splash ahead of the March 8 trade deadline, and according to recent reports, it may result in one veteran's behaviour costing him a spot on the team.

Boston Bruins ready to move Derek Forbort after recent behaviour

Last week, it was reported that veteran defenseman Derek Forbort was healthy scratched due to missing a team meeting, and now, it's getting worse.
"#Bruins defensman Derek Forbort overslept in Seattle. "It's on me," he said. His first call was from Jake DeBrusk (who missed a meeting earlier this season in LA) with the message "you'll get through this," Forbort said with a smile following Thursday's morning skate."
Despite the support from Jake DeBrush, according to a recent report from Bruins Insider Jimmy Murphy, it may be the thing that ultimately costs Forbort his spot in Boston.
Given his recent play and now this, I wouldn't be surprised to see Forbort on a new team by the March 8, 3 p.m. ET NHL Trade Deadline.
Murphy's comments also indicate that his declining play could be a factor behind the move, with the pending UFA missing the team meeting likely to be the final straw for the Bruins. The team are reportedly targeting hometown boy Noah Hanifin at the trade deadline, and with the team needing to match salary, Forbort being included could make plenty of sense, but for now, it appears his time in Boston is close to the end.
