Though there's no confirmation that Bruins GM Don Sweeney has kicked tires with the Flames about Lindholm, Murphy has this to say about the possible return for Calgary:
«If the Bruins want Lindholm, likely [Jake] DeBrusk. They don't want any picks, and the Bruins have none. They want a scoring winger that can make up for [Tyler] Toffoli being traded. There's probably more that would be in that trade, but DeBrusk would be the target, I think.»
Should the Bruins decide to continue competing for a Stanley Cup following the recent retirement of longtime captain and club legend Patrice Bergeron, trading for Lindholm must be a serious consideration by Sweeney and the rest of the front office. But if bringing Lindholm to Boston would likely involve trading Jake DeBrusk alongside other pieces, any hesitancy on their part is understandable.
