Over the past few years, so many trades around the NHL involve throw in pieces, and while many look at Rem Pitlick as exactly that for Pittsburgh, he could end up being so much more.
While he hasn't hit his strides in the NHL yet, that could be due to a lack of stability, as Pitlick has been in Nashville, Minnesota and Montreal throughout his five year career, but now he has the chance to be a stable, consistent piece for the Penguins.
When given the chance, he's proven he can be more than just a fourth-liner, as he scored 15 goals in the only season he has played over 60 games in, and with so much offensive talent on this team, now could be his chance to shine.
Pitlick played in just 46 games a year ago for Montreal, and while the numbers (6 goals, 15 points) aren't pretty on the surface, he played with a talent deficient team, but with a deep, talented, veteran team in Pittsburgh, look for the 26-year old to break out in a big way.
