The New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils came together to strike a deal today.

Today it was announced by several sources that the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils have made a trade. In the trade, the New York Islanders receive Tyce Thompson while the Devils get back Arnaud Durandeau.

TRADE: The New York Islanders have acquired Tyce Thompson from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Arnaud Durandeau.

TRADE ALERT: #Isles have acquired F Tyce Thompson from #NJDevils in exchange for F Arnaud Durandeau.

With this trade, the Islanders bring in the brother of superstar Tage Thompson with Tyce. In 15 games in the AHL this season Tyce has 5 points. In return, the Devils get back Arnaud Durandeau who has 4 points in 12 games in the AHL.

Both 24-year-old forwards will get a fresh start in new organizations. The opportunites they get will determine who ends up the winner of this trade.
