More Disturbing Details Emerge Regarding Two-Time Olympic Medalist

After the terrible accident that occurred to two-time Olympic medalist Sanni Hakala, more details have emerged regarding the incident.

Sanni Hakala Left Potentially Paralysed After Accident in Game



Some terrible news has come out of Sweden that Sanni Hakala has been paralyzed from the waist down after an awful collision. The incident happened in a game between HV71, her team, and Djurgarden of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL).

Hakala collided with the post of the net head-on during the game, which has left her with no feeling in her extremities from the waist down.


Finnish women's national team player Sanni Hakala severely injured during a game in the Swedish women's league. She collided head-on with a post during the game. According to Jönköpings Posten, she has no feeling in her extremities from waist down.


The paramedics had the following to say about the injury, stating that they pressed several times on the injury.

"We pressed hard on her leg several times with really hard strength, and she did not react,"

The World is Sending Their Thoughts to Sanni Hakala In Her Recovery



The hockey world is coming together to send their thoughts to Hakala in hopes of a recovery from the heartbreaking injury. While the injury could mean the end of her hockey career, we are hoping that she can make a recovery to have a full quality of life outside of the rink.

Today's SDHL match between HV71 and Djurgårdens IF was suspended after forward 🇫🇮Sanni Hakala crashed headfirst into the goal post.

The 26-year-old had to be stretchered off the ice, was rushed to the hospital, and has reportedly suffered severe injuries.
