This is the kind of thing you hate to hear about. A two-time Olympic hockey medalist is going through some really tough times right now after an accident during a game.

Olympic Hockey Medal Winner Paralyzed by Tragic Accident

Sanni Hakala, who has two Olympic bronze medals with Team Finland, went into the post head first very early on in a game Friday in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). She was rushed to hospital.

Sadly, things aren't looking good for the 26-year-old as there are reports that she could not feel anything from the waist down.
"We pressed hard on her leg several times with really hard strength and she did not react." - Paramedic, JP.se

Olympic Medalist Loses Feeling Below Waist Following Tragic Accident

By all accounts, this was a complete accident and no one is responsible for what happened. We wish Hakala all the best in her recovery.
