They say teams who win should do so graciously - but don't tell that to the Florida Panthers. Having just gotten back into their Stanley Cup Final series against the Vegas Golden Knights following a thrilling OT win in Game 3 on Thursday, the Panthers may have just been caught gloating about their series wins in these playoffs before they've even sealed the deal.
Before tonight's Game 4 at FLA LIVE Arena in Sunrise, FL, Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press tweeted a photo of the team's rally towels attached to each seat.
Fans will be waving towels adorned with the crossed-out names of the three cities whose teams the Panthers have already beaten: Boston, Toronto, and Carolina.
Hubris is a hell of a drug, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Panthers can back that up tonight to even the series (the game starts at 8 p.m. EST tonight).
Regardless, it's a fun way for the team to pour salt into the Bruins, Leafs, and Hurricanes' wounds, and to pump fans up by celebrating their most recent successes.
