Alexander Mogilny finally inducted to Hall of Fame

That means that former Maple Leafs forward Alexander Mogilny gets inducted, a well-deserved accomplishment for the dynamic forward who was one of the most exciting players of the 90's and 2000's.
Spending three seasons with the Maple Leafs, Mogilny scored 166 points in 176 games (65G, 101A) and was part of an incredible duo alongside Mats Sundin.
Mogilny had one of the most successful careers in history, and was lauded for his sportsmanlike approach to the game in addition to his incredible skillset.

Jumbo Joe gets the call!

Former Maple Leafs forward Joe Thornton was also inducted into the Hall after an illustrious and long career that saw him skate in 1,714 career games over a 24-year career; an astounding number in any level of pro sports.
While Thornton never reached the heights of Mogilny in terms of playoff accolades, the long-time San Jose Sharks icon was a former MVP and Art Ross winner in 2005-06 when he managed 125 points in 81 games (29G, 96A).
Not a member of the Maple Leafs for long, he was instrumental in setting the tone for rookies and young players coming in including Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
It's an incredible accomplishment for both men and well deserved after their respective retirements; Mogilny in 2006 and Thornton in 2022.
Congratulations Joe Thornton and Alexander Mogilny for a well earned enshrinement into Hockey's Hall of Fame.
