This is what Connor Mcdavid had to say:

«I think for any Canadian kid growing up playing the game you want to play in the NHL, you want to win a Stanley Cup & right there next on the list is representing your country at the Olympics & winning Gold medal.»
I think what he really ment was:
«I can't wait to play with Sidney Crosby and dominate every single game. I'd be shocked if we don't win gold medal.»
Yup. That's what he said assuming he makes the team. At least he will win something with Team Canada.
