For all those that turned in this weekend's All Star Skills competition, many were shocked when St Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou took the NHL's fastest skater competition from the favorite, Edmonton Oilers captain Connor Mcdavid.
However we learned from TSN's Tom Gazzola who reported on twitter that Connor McDavid might be dealing with a bad knee issue. It's not clear when he sustained the injury but Gazzola believes it happened during the game vs the Washington Capitals. Gazzola said its been bothering McDavid for a couple of weeks.
It was also Mentioned on the ESPN All-Star broadcast that Connor McDavid had a bit of a knee issue and there was some concern he may not have been able to participate.
This doesn't mean that Blues Jordan Kyrou couldn't win the fastest Skater,or make his win tainted in anyway this was more just giving that info that McDavid wasn't at 100% during this weekends festivities.
