The New York Rangers have placed young right-handed defenceman Nils Lundkvist on the trade market after he reportedly is not close to a deal with the team and will not report to training camp, scheduled for this month.
Page AbsCoverage has thrown out an interesting proposal involving the Swede and the Montreal Canadiens.
Here's the offer:
To the Canadiens - Nils Lundkvist
To the Rangers - Riley Kidney and a 4th round pick in 2023 (the CH's).
A first-round pick, 28th overall by the Rangers in 2018, Lundkvist had 15 points, including three goals in 34 AHL games, last season, plus four points in 25 games with the Rangers.
Kidney had 100 points (30 goals) in 66 games with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan last season in the QMJHL.
