Nikita Zaitsev is one of the worst players in the NHL.
If he weren't playing for the Ottawa Senators, he would most likely be out of the league, and if he weren't maxing $4.5-million annually, he would've been bought out by now.
His defensive game is negligible at this point, and there are zero offensive instincts to his game.
This has led fans to be rather brutal to him. He is a scapegoat for many of the Senators issues, despite playing less than fifteen minutes a night. However, Zaitsev clearly hit his breaking point.
Zaitsev took to Instagram to threaten a fan, asking him to 'meet up'.

It is entirely possible that Zaitsev will face supplemental discipline for this. If Ottawa has a chance to rid themselves of his cap hit, it could be a blessing in disguise.
It was equally revealed that Zaitsev's father has been harassing the same fan.

Should Nikita Zaitsev face supplemental discipline for this?
