Boston Bruins captain, Patrice Bergeron, has his heart set on his Pro-Am, which he organizes every summer with Simon Gagné in Quebec City.

Unlike others, he's really not a phony-baloney. He's a real, real good guy, and he proved it again in the Bruins-Sabres showdown.

At the puck drop, Bergeron took the time to check in with Buffalo forward Tage Thompson's wife. Why? Because she had a cancerous mass removed from her leg in 2019.

Bergeron knew about it and asked her about it. Isn't that an incredible gesture?

What a man!

«It's big,» Tage told The Buffalo News following practice Monday. «Obviously, he didn't have to say anything. He kind of went out of his way to check on her and ask how she's doing. It's just the kind of guy he is. He's just a genuine guy, cares about other people."
