The 2022 Winter Olympics are five and a half months away, so today we're going to take a stab at predicting a couple of rosters, starting with the United States. Before we do that, let's give a bit of background about the United States. Currently they are ranked fourth in the world by the International Ice Hockey Federation, and will play in a group with Canada, Germany, and China. Since the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, the Americans have only won one medal, that being silver.

Each nation is allowed to bring 22 skaters, and three goaltenders to the Olympics. Today, I'm going to break it down into 14 forwards and eight defencemen as that's what most countries tend to go with.

Forwards (14)

- Auston Matthews (Toronto Maple Leafs)
- Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks)
- Kyle Connor (Winnipeg Jets)
- Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg Jets)
- Matthew Tkachuk (Calgary Flames)
- Jack Eichel (Buffalo Sabres)
- Johnny Gaudreau (Calgary Flames)
- Brock Boeser (Vancouver Canucks)
- Dylan Larkin (Detroit Red Wings)
- Brady Tkachuk (Ottawa Senators)
- Alex DeBrincat (Chicago Blackhawks)
- Max Pacioretty (Vegas Golden Knights)
- Jack Hughes (New Jersey Devils)
- Clayton Keller (Arizona Coyotes)

Defencemen (8)

- Adam Fox (New York Rangers)
- Seth Jones (Chicago Blackhawks)
- Zach Werenski (Columbus Blue Jackets)
- John Carlson (Washington Capitals)
- Quinn Hughes (Vancouver Canucks)
- Jaccob Slavin (Carolina Hurricanes)
- Jeff Petry (Montreal Canadiens)
- Torey Krug (St. Louis Blues)

Goaltenders (3)

- Connor Hellebuyck (Winnipeg Jets)
- John Gibson (Anaheim Ducks)
- Alex Nedeljkovic (Detroit Red Wings)
