TVA Sports reporter Renaud Lavoie revealed an interesting piece of information regarding Jonathan Huberdeau's current contract. Huberdeau had a non-movement clause, which ended on June 30.
Since then, an eight-team no-trade clause is in effect.
Florida Panthers general manager Bill Zito took advantage of this and jumped at the opportunity.
Jonathan Huberdeau will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2023.
