According to Adrian Date of Colorado Hockey Now, forward Nazem Kadri could end up in Johnny Gaudreau's old hometown of Calgary.
With the loss of Gaudreau, getting Nazem Kadri back would be an interesting consolation prize for the Alberta team.
However, with supply and demand, I wouldn't be surprised if his contract is higher than Gaudreau's, who signed for $9.75M per year with the Blue Jackets.
The Ontario native had 87 points in 71 games last season with the Colorado Avalanche.
