The Toronto Maple Leafs have agreed to terms on a one-season contract with defenseman Jordie Benn that will pay him $750,000.

Another former Habs player, Victor Mete, will also be heading to Toronto with the Leafs.

In 37 games last season, Mete had seven assists with the Ottawa Senators.
Benn had eight points in 39 games with the Minnesota Wild.
