Oilers reporter Mark Spector is notable for his disdain towards Jesse Puljujarvi.
The fabled forward has been tough to watch this year, and Spector hasn't spared him from any sort of mockery.
Now, he has taken another step too far. Brian McDavid and Jari Puljujarvi sat together to watch their sons play together. Longtime teammates and linemates, McDavid and Puljujarvi share a close bond. While they may not be teammates for much longer, it is no reporters place to make fun of them. Bringing their fathers into it, however, is worse.
On a simple missed high-five between the two, Spector made this comment:
Brian McDavid and Jari Puljujarvi.
Even the fathers have no chemistry.
-
Most agreed that this was in terrible taste.

Spector is becoming the laughing stock of sports reporting. If he can't keep himself from making ridiculous comments like this, maybe he should be looking at a change in career paths.
