Campbell's Time In Edmonton Coming To An End: His NHL Is Career In Jeapoardy

It has recently been revealed by credentialed reporter and NHL Network Corresponde Tom Gazzola that Jack Campbell's time in Edmonton is coming to an end.

Tom Gazzola on the Oil Stream says the Oilers are being very proactive in moving Jack Campbell and he says the conclusion to Jack Campbell with the Oilers is closer than initially anticipated.

Doubt it's a buyout

A buyout would have to wait till the summer to happen but there is a solid chance that when Campbell is moved, he is stashed away in the AHL till a buyout becomes viable.

Campbell has spent a lot of the season in the AHL and has subpar numbers with a 3.37 GAA and an .887 SV%. In five games with the Oilers this year Campbell posted a 4.50 GAA and an .873 GAA. It seems more likely than ever that his NHL career is over and Campbell will need to make a massive turnaround if he wants to return to the NHL.

More details to come.
