One game at the renowned Bell Centre in Montreal Canada will give you chills. Without a doubt one of the best atmospheres not only in the NHL but in sports entirely. The history of the Montreal Canadiens is on full display with one look up to the rafters, there you see all the legends of not only the Canadiens but of the NHL. From Maurice Richard to Ken Dryden, the true greats of this game are honoured and recognized by all fans of this game. There are not many teams in world that has history that spans as far back as the Canadiens. They are alongside great teams like baseball's New York Yankees, football's Green Bay Packers, and the great soccer teams of Europe like Man Utd.

Since the Bell Centres inception back in 1999, it has quickly gained the reputation of the most intimidating buildings in hockey. Not just for opposing players, but fans as well. Let's just say 'tough skin' is one of the requirements if you fall under those two categories. These claims are all agreed upon, the NHLPA's various player polls consistently rank the Canadiens fans as always being rabid and intimidating, creating playoff-esque climates on a nightly basis. From my own opinion I can best describe it as a constant buzz inside the building at all times.
This passion and excitement from fans comes from the deep rooted culture the Canadiens have in the fabric of hockey. One that has only been seen a hand full of times from teams in other sports like previously mentioned. You can consider the Bell Centre as the 'Mecca' of hockey, as the reach of the Canadiens spans all across the globe.
