Earlier this week, head coach Mike Babcock announced his resignation from the University of Saskatchewan as head coach after only one season.
In an interview with CKOM 650 radio, Babcock promised his wife that he was retiring from hockey at age 60 and he is now 59.
So returning to the NHL is not an option for him.
In 17 seasons as a Bettman head coach with the Mighty Ducks, Red Wings and Maple Leafs, Babcock maintained a 700-418-19-164 record.
