When Marc-Andre Fleury and Max Pacioretty left for, shall we say, peanuts, many agents and players criticized this approach on the Vegas Golden Knights side.
As my colleague Jean-Benoît Gagné of GoHabsGo reports, one player agent even told The Athletic that he was warning his clients about the Golden Knights' scheme. In short, they don't have a very good reputation anymore.
By the way, a former player on the team, Paul Stastny, was offered more money to sign in Vegas, but he turned it down and agreed to sign for less and play in Carolina next season.
