It's hard to understand why NHL teams didn't draft the Montreal Canadiens' big defenseman, Arber Xhekaj.
Big physically, mobile with the puck and good offensively.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, many teams see him going and literally regret not drafting him.
« Friedman says several teams have expressed big regrets about not scouting Xhekaj first."
"Montreal seems to have made a real steal here (with Xhekaj). There are a lot of teams that confirmed to me today that they would really like him. They're like, 'We would have liked to get him first. We might regret it (missing out).'"
- Elliotte Friedman
This confirms that Marc Bergevin was right in signing him as an independent player. What luck!
