Very scary scene in Anaheim

Ducks defenseman Urho Vaakanainen was just carted off on a stretcher after skating into the end boards behind the San Jose just after Derek Grant scored a goal 9:46 into the game. Scary incident. Entire team skated over to check on him in obvious concern.

Ducks Vaakanainen stretchered off the ice. Needed a neck brace but was moving his arms. Preseason been brutal on the Ducks.

Ducks defenseman Urho Vaakanainen was taken to UCI Medical Center for evaluation after being injured during tonight's game. He has full movement in his extremities and is fully conscious and alert.
