Since he left the Habs' entourage last April, we haven't heard much from Jonathan Drouin. On Friday, during his press conference, Marc Bergevin mentioned that the Quebec player was doing very well.

This is great news and we hope that, if he wants, the 92 can return to an NHL jersey, whether in Montreal or elsewhere, next season. On this subject, Michel Bergeron mentioned, in his last column in the Journal de Montréal, that he is confident that the forward will return in force if he so wishes.
"I have a good feeling about him. I think he will come back next year and he will be in great shape physically and mentally. Ducharme will be able to put him in a situation where he can be successful. Sometimes it's easier for a talented player to bounce back." - Michel Bergeron
Few, like Bergeron, see Drouin returning to Montreal next season. Instead, many see him leaving town to take the pressure off of him here and focus on field hockey. It will be interesting to see what Marc Bergevin intends to do with Jonathan Drouin. Will he be tempted to trade him or not protect him for the NHL expansion draft? Anything is possible at this stage of the season, and it is certain that rumors about this will be swarming in the coming weeks.
One thing is for sure, we can't wish Jonathan anything but to get better and to come back at the top of his game at the place that will be best for him.
