Recently, reporter Kevin Allen mentioned that he was hearing that Johnny Gaudreau could leave the Calgary Flames this summer, as he will become an uncompensated free agent at the end of the season.
"There are a lot of whispers in the NHL, behind the scenes, that Johnny Gaudreau has every intention of playing in the East next season." - Kevin Allen
With 108 points, including 38 goals, in 77 games, it's only natural that all teams are interested in him.
In response to these murmurs, the Calgary Flames organization has sent a very clear message.
"We're going to move heaven and earth and do everything we can to get Johnny back here. You've seen him all season long. He's one of the best players, not just offensively, but because of what he does without the puck." - Brad Treliving
The price for Gaudreau would be around $9 million per year. Would you be willing to give him what he wants?
