According to Anthony Di Marco of The Fourth Period, the injury to Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Ryan Ellis, who has played in only four games this season, is still very unclear.
Is it a hip injury? A groin injury? Is it an abdominal injury? Many questions that remain unanswered.
However, one thing that is very worrying in this case is the fact that Ellis has completely detached himself from the team. He hasn't been seen anywhere near the team in over three weeks.
The Fourth Period columnist mentioned earlier in the campaign that Ellis didn't really want to play for the Flyers.
However, with five more seasons on his contract, it would be surprising to see a team interested in the veteran defenceman, who is plagued by a mystery injury.
