Jesse Puljujarvi's time in Edmonton is likely coming to an end this season. The forward, who hasn't quite lived up to the expectations set for him after being selected 4th overall in the 2016 entry draft, spoke out recently about his performances.

In an interview with Tommi Seppälä, Puljujarvi expressed his disappointment in his play, and questioned his spot in the NHL.

I don't really have a solution. That's my response: It's a hard league.

Elliotte Friedman added to the fire saying that there had already been discussion between management and Puljujarvi regarding a trade.

There was a conversation at the beginning of the season between Puljujarvi and the team where it was decided that, if things didn't go well, the Oilers would try to move him

Now, Marco D'Amico, of Montreal Hockey Now dropped a bombshell involving the Montreal Canadiens.

It appears that Montreal inquired seriously on Puljujarvi at the draft, but when that fell through, they opted to use their cap space on Sean Monahan.

Now, with Puljujarvi's value at an all time low, could Montreal be in the running to acquire him?

It will be an interesting story to follow.
