Kyle Dubas seems to be having an amazing season as general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

His goaltending tandem of Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov is looking great, and the team as a whole is performing well.

Unfortunately, the Leafs defense has been shaky. Major injuries to Jake Muzzin, Morgan Rielly and TJ Brodie has left the team with one of the weakest defensive corps in the league.

However, in a desperation move to make a trade, it appears that Kyle Dubas pulled off an absolute genius trade.

Trading 6'9" forward Curtis Douglas to the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for blueliner Connor Timmins already looked good when it happened.

But after his 3-point performance last night, things are looking even better.

Beyond that three-point performance, his four games with the Leafs have all been fantastic defensively. Here are his important stats:

• 53-42 shot attempts
• 62% expected goals
• 31-20 scoring chances
• 13-9 high-danger chances

If Curtis Douglas works out in the NHL, he'll be an absolute menace as the tallest player in league history. However, early looks show that Kyle Dubas may have pulled off an absolute heist.
