Important development for Kris Letang
Yesterday, it was learned that Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kristopher Letang had a second stroke on Monday.
Today, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan said Letang had a lap around the rink. He has not been cleared to play hockey, however, though the player is eager to get back to it.
So [Letang] is active. He's still getting tested and he's being closely monitored by our team of doctors who are advising him every day, and advising us every day. Obviously, we're going to err on the side of caution in this case." Mike Sullivan
Per Mike Sullivan, defenseman Kris Letang skated at the team's facility in Cranberry. Sullivan labeled it as a "twirl on the ice" and suggested it was more for the benefit of Letang's mental health.
