New Reports have surfaced that Quinton Howden, a former first-round draft pick of the Florida Panthers, has terminated his contract with Vasterviks IK of Allsvenskan in Sweden.
Howden was selected 25th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2010 NHL entry draft. He spent the first part of his career fighting for a spot on the Panthers' Roster, managing to get some ice time here and there while also playing for their AHL team.
He then went to the Winnipeg Jets, where he spent his last season in North America playing mostly in the AHL. He has since played in the KHL as well as several European leagues.
Now, the 31-year-old will try and find a new team to settle in to.
