Calgary Flames Head Coach Darryl Sutter Doesn't Hold Back in Critiquing Jonathan Huberdeau's Performance
The trade between the Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers, that consisted of Calgary sending Matthew Tkachuk and a 4th round pick to Florida, and Florida sending back Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt and a 1st round pick back, was one of the biggest trades of the salary cap era.
Huberdeau was coming off a career 115-point year, and Calgary was rightfully expecting big things.
So far, his game has been hard to watch. He hasn't necessarily been bad, but his $84-million extension that he signed to kick in next season is causing worry.
Head coach Darryl Sutter is known as a guy who speaks his mind, and he did just that with Huberdeau.
I think Jonathan has to speed his game up, that's for sure.
Hopefully Huberdeau will rebound, and play like the Hart-candidate we all know he can be.
