Brad Marchand Comments on the Trevor Zegras Scandal

Trevor Zegras was the face of the league a few days ago. Now, he's one of the most hated players on the planet.

With a few words that he'll regret for a lifetime, Zegrass put a target on his back.

When he gestured up to the sky and referenced Troy Stecher's deceased father in a scrum, the hockey community rightfully went crazy. Now, one of Zegras' fellow most-hated players, Brad Marchand, has weighed in.

When reporter Craig Morgan indicated that this was simply a miscommunication, and Zegras didn't reference Stecher's father, Marchand responded very clearly:

I can confirm via the Coyotes that Anaheim forward Trevor Zegras did not say anything about Troy Stecher's father during their dust-up last night but, per a team source, he crossed the line with «some very inappropriate comments.»
Stecher has declined comment on the topic.

No matter what the reporters say, the sentiment among players is clear. We'll see how long it takes for Zegras to get punched in the face.
