BREAKING: Joe Thornton Gets A New Job In Hockey
Joe Thornton announced his retirement earlier this week and he has already found a new job in hockey.
Thornton's New Job
At 44 years old, Joe Thornton announced his retirement from hockey after over 1700 games played. Many thought it would be only a matter of time before he found his next job in hockey and that it was.
TSN insider Darren Dreger just announced that Thornton would be helping assemble Team Canada's Spengler Cup roster.
Team Canada jumps on Joe Thornton's open schedule, post retirement. Thornton and @NHLFlames assistant GM, Brad Pascall will handle management duties and assembly of Canada's roster for this years Spengler Cup.
The tournament will be held this December between Christmas and New Year's in Switzerland. This will be a new role for Thornton but if he is able to assemble a winning team then he may be getting NHL calls quite soon.
