The Colorado Avalanche have placed center Lukas Sedlak from the Czech Republic on waivers.
Drafted in 2011 by the Blue Jackets in the sixth round, Sedlak, 29, has played the past three seasons in the KHL with Chelyabinsk Traktor.
Last season, he recorded 43 points in 49 games.
Sedlak signed a one-season, $800,000 contract last summer with the Stanley Cup champs.
