The Toronto Maple Leafs are going up against the Colorado Avalanche tonight. In yet another unfortunate turn of events a Maple Leafs defenseman has suffered a major injury. Simon Benoit was injured early in the game and needed to be helped off the ice by trainers.
Simon Benoit appears to have been hurt on the last play before the TV Timeout. No weight on it and in the locker room.
At this point there is no update on what happened to Benoit that led to the injury. As more information is provided on Benoit's status or the injury he sustained we will provide it to you.
