Scott Page was the very first captain of the Mississauga IceDogs, a team in the OHL. He was a very good player representing the Juniors but never saw an NHL opportunity. The man died at the young age of 45 years old. He played with the Sudbury Wolves, Soo Greyhounds before heading towards college hockey with St.Thomas University.
Unfortunately, he never really saw an opportunity in the NHL or even the minor leagues after his role as a player was mainly an instigating and grinder type role. He logged over a 100 PIM a season whether it was with his OHL team or his college team. Because of the heavy task of the role, his short lived career came to an end in 2005.
Known for his incredible leadership, reason why he was Given the C for Mississauga, Scott leaves a legacy of true leadership and a great personality to all those who met him.
Our thoughts and condolences to the family of Mr.Page and all his loved ones.
