Detroit Red Wings lose Patrick Kane to injury
The Detroit Red Wings suffered another critical injury tonight as Patrick Kane did not return to the bench after the first intermission.
The veteran winger left the game early in the first period with an apparent injury and he did not return. When the game returned after the first intermission, he was not on the bench with his teammates.

Kane has 7 goals and 16 points since he signed with the Red Wings. It is not known if the injury is related to his offseason hip re-surfacing surgery. Stay tuned for updates on his status.
