The Chicago Blackhawks received the worst possible news today as their star forward Connor Bedard has left their game against the New Jersey Devils with an injury.

Connor Bedard was rushed to the locker room following the hit from Smith and has now been ruled out of their game and will not return.
Hopefully, Connor Bedard will be healthy again by the time the All-Star game comes around, as he will represent the Chicago Blackhawks.
Here was the hit that injured him:
Bedard's rookie season has been absolutely incredible, becoming the youngest all-star in NHL history. At only 18-years-old, he is tearing up the league, and looks like the next generational star.
The Chicago Blackhawks sure are lucky that just as they were leaving their Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews era they got a new franchise icon.
