On Saturday morning, it was announced that the Vancouver Canucks gave a contract extension to their top player.

Vancouver Canucks Extends Elias Pettersson With Eight-Year Contract

In breaking news, we learned that Elias Pettersson signed an eight-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Elias Pettersson on an eight-year contract.
In 62 games, the center scored 75 points, including 29 goals with the Canucks.
The full details of Pettersson's deal haven't been released yet. Updates will follow.
