After the trade that landed the Toronto Maple Leafs' Ilya Lyubushkin, there were immediate questions as to when Lyubushkin would be able to play his first game, especially since the Leafs are struggling to stay healthy on the blueline. Now, Sheldon Keefe has revealed that the plan is to have Lyubushkin play tonight.
With Timothy Liljegren questionable, and Mark Giordano out with a head injury, there was clearly a desperate need to bring in Lyubushkin as a reinforcement on the Leafs' blueline. While the trade itself has been criticized on social media, the Leafs still have room to make more deals.
