Rick Tocchet's salary with the Vancouver Canucks released publicly
It's finally official, Rick Tocchet is the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks after firing Bruce Boudreau.
We knew of this several weeks ago, but management opted to hold on to Bruce Boudreau for a ridiculously long amount of time in hopes of him quitting and forfeiting his contract.
Two stories were reported this morning regarding Tocchet. One was in regard to his criminal past with an illegal gambling ring in 2007:
And the other regarded his big salary:
Over the next three years, Tocchet will earn $8.25-million in salary. This would make him one of the higher paid players on the Canucks!
If he turns out to be worth it, it would be amazing, but if it doesn't, the Canucks will be further strapped, still paying coaches Bruce Boudreau and Travis Green.
We will see how this all plays out.
