The Toronto Marlies have added to their already incredibly strong depth chart by re-signing forward Joseph Blandisi to a one-year, AHL contract. Blandisi spent the past two seasons with the Marlies.
Blandisi notched 39 points in 61 games for the Marlies last season. Not bad at all for the veteran forward.
He's also appeared in 101 NHL games throughout his career, tallying 31 points. The veteran certainly has some value at the NHL level, and should be a great veteran presence for the Marlies.
With the signing of Blandisi, many are wondering if this is the year the Marlies hoist the Calder Cup once more. A stacked roster full of veterans and prospects should be more than enough to get them there.
Let's see if Toronto continues to bolster the Marlies.
